Kenosha Community Health Center Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer
The Kenosha Community Health Center (KCHC) announced the hiring of Ami Prag, MD, EMBA as its new Chief Medical Officer effective October 16, 2018. Dr. Prag brings 14 years of clinical, business and operational healthcare experience to this role. Dr. Prag graduated from Aurora St. Luke’s Family Medicine residency program and brings a wealth of knowledge both on the clinical as well from the payor side to KCHC.
Dr. Prag is an experienced physician with demonstrated history of working in the hospitals and healthcare with a goal to advance efficiencies in care delivery to promote coordination of care though the continuum. She has also worked on the payor side in clinical decision making relating to care delivery settings annual medical expense management. She understands the importance of teamwork to help physicians and organizations achieve value-based care. Dr. Prag previously served at Aurora’s St. Luke’s and also as the Associate Chief of Staff at Veterans Health Administration.

Dr. Prag has also been a C-level clinical consultant with organizations to help with value based care and practice transformation. She is a longstanding member of the Wisconsin Medical Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
