About

Month/Year Started at KCHC:
April 2022

What made you choose a healthcare career?
I chose a career in healthcare because holistic wellness is very important to me. When working with clients, it is important to address both their physical and their mental health. Working in an integrated health system allows me to work with clients to address holistic wellness within our community.

What types of care do you provide, and what sets your care apart?
I am trained to provide a variety of evidence-based treatments primarily based within both Cognitive Behavior Therapy approaches and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. I believe it is important to work collaboratively with my clients to decide what approach works best for them and the goals we want to focus on in counseling.

What is your patient care philosophy?
My patient care philosophy is to provide a non-judgmental, warm, and understanding environment to allow clients to explore their current strengths, struggles, and goals. I also strongly believe in understanding a client’s unique lived experience, including their experiences related to race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

What can patients look forward to when they visit you?
Clients can look forward to a collaborative, warm environment where they have space to be as they are and explore their experiences deeper. I aim to help clients identify coping strategies and explore new ways of viewing their current strengths and struggles.
