About

Month/Year Started at KCHC:
July 2020

What made you choose a healthcare career?
I have seen and experienced inequities from the healthcare field growing up within my own family. I want to eliminate these barriers to quality healthcare, I have personally experienced, for others in our community. This is my chance to make a difference-to give more and do more for families and individuals within our community. What I have learned along the way is humility and compassion goes a long way. I strive on treating my patients with the same dignity and respect that I would expect for my family.

What types of care do you provide, and what sets your care apart?
I am nationally certified and qualified to practice in both family medicine and psychiatric care. I diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications to both children and adults. Some of my practice specialties are: well-child exams, physical exams, sports physicals, gynecological exams, and psychiatric examinations. I treat an array of ailments: Asthma, COPD, Ear infections, Sinus infections, Diabetes, hypertension, skin disorders, STDS, elevated cholesterol, ADHD, depression, anxiety, Bipolar disorder, and Schizophrenia.

What is your patient care philosophy?
My patients come first and are my number one priority. I deliver the best to every patient. Integrity- I communicate openly and honestly. I want to build trust with you and I conduct myself in accordance to the highest ethical standards. Respect – I treat all my patients the way I expect to be treated. Again, I am no different than you!

“Empathy is simply listening, holding space, withholding judgment, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of you’re not alone.” ~Brene Brown

What can patients look forward to when they visit you?
I am laid back and easy to talk to. I may hold the formal title of Nurse Practitioner, but I am no different than you. My informal and friendly approach is to help you feel comfortable discussing your physical and mental health concerns.
